Hello, I am an HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist with over 15 years of experience in the NHS and private practice. I offer specialist trauma-focused therapy (EMDR) to help with PTSD resulting from various experiences, such as birth trauma, sexual assault, complex bereavement, accidents and many others.
I can help you deal with the debilitating PTSD symptoms as well as difficulties related to complex trauma. I follow the NICE recommended guidance for evidence-based therapy and my experience and expertise allow me to tailor the best approach according to your needs.
I have further specialist training in working with interpersonal issues that help understand the underlying unhelpful patterns that one has developed in order to make changes. I have further worked with a wide range of difficulties such as dealing with a transition, depression and anxiety.

This Program integrates the wisdom of the traditions of western psychology and eastern contemplative practices with intention of providing secular practices that can help anyone achieve greater emotional balance Learning how to meaningfully attend to our emotional experiences of oneself and others leads to constructive interpersonal comunication.
The Program will develop universal values, a healthier society, more responsible and compassionate. Minding Emotions teaches its core program Cultivating Emotional Balance (CEB) a mindfulness program specifically designed to bring awareness to our emotional states. We also teach Mindfulness for Stress, Mindfulness for Self-compassion for Adults, Adolescents (teens) and children. 1-1 coaching also available.
Sophie Thurner is a Registered Nutritionist and fully qualified personal trainer based Belsize Park. She provides tailor-made, sustainable nutritional advice to help her clients tackle their individual areas of improvement and achieve long-term health and well-being.
