Lean In... Breathe... Expand... A breathwork Workshop

In this 90 mins workshop, we will gather in a sacred circle, journal, share and breathe.

This is a wonderful opportunity to surrender yourself to the process of shedding what is not yours.

Face your internal storms and bask in the sun.

Remove the blockages that cause you fear and let the energy flow.

Claim back your power.

Let your excellence be your own.

Strengthen your heart and remember who you are.

No matter where life has led you.

No matter the size of your pain there is a deep love that holds you, uplifts you and heals you. That is your essence - It is within You!

Endeavor to heal your heart.

What is breathwork

Breathwork is an active self healing meditation that allows you to move through, release and heal stuck energy, suppressed emotions, old imposed stories that are at the root of your fears. This work leaves you relaxed and connected.

All breathing is done through the mouth as you lay down, accompanied by music to support your journey within.

Through this three part Pranayama breathing technique the mind is encouraged to rest. Allowing the intelligence of the body to promote healing. Your active breath moves through your body unlocking stuck energy that can be released as sensations, emotions or even sounds.

During your Breathwork session, the increased oxygen alkalizes the body by reducing the acidity in the blood. As oxygen flows to the brain, the hypothalamus gland is stimulated and endorphins are released, which in turn activates the other ductless glands in the body. As endorphins flow, the brain starts to relax allowing emotions to move through the body.

Benefits Of Breathwork

  • Increase your clarity and insight by connecting to your inner wisdom

  • Reduce your anxiety

  • Quiet your thoughts

  • Reduce your stress levels

  • Improve your sleep

  • Create a deep connection and relationship with self

  • Expand your heart and receive love

  • Remove negative blocks that are holding you back

  • Manifest and create a beautiful life of your own making

  • Let go of old imposed stories and begin to thrive

  • Unblock your creative flow

Understanding Children’s Emotions – A Parent’s Toolkit

This workshop for parents will introduce or build on previous knowledge of using Emotion Coaching techniques with children. The workshop supports parents to consider how children’s brains develop at various stages and explore the links between parenting styles and children’s ability to self-regulate. Using cutting-edge theories about neuroscience, taught in a simple and digestible way, we will focus on strategies to help children thrive and feel confident.

The workshop aims to give practical advice and takeaway tools which parents can immediately use at home to enhance relationships with children of all ages. We will talk about ways to help children calm down in the heat of the moment and how to create a peaceful family environment.

The workshop will be a mix of taught content, practical activities and group discussion, designed to support parents to feel more able to tune into their child’s emotional world and experiences. Parents who have attended this workshop have reported a long-term positive change in their child’s ability to express themselves and a permanent decrease in challenging interactions with their children. Overall, there is a greater sense of wellbeing for the whole family.

Areas of Focus:

  • How the brain develops in young children

  • Attachment and human instinct for connection

  • How the body and brain manage stress

  • Latest research on developing children’s emotional intelligence

  • Parenting styles - survive or thrive?

  • Why Emotion Coaching works

  • Emotion Coaching techniques

  • Tools to take away

Feedback from past participants….

“The Emotion Coaching course by Shana was great. Her calm and non-judgmental nature, expertise and resources were extremely useful in understanding children’s development and perspectives better and with that supporting parents to make more informed and enabling choices in their parenting approach. Highly recommend this course to anyone who is a parent. Thank you Shana!”

“Really helpful course, the small group worked really well and it was helpful to listen to other people's examples and questions. Would definitely recommend this course, I learnt lots of practical tips to apply everyday, thank you!”

“Learning about a young child's brain was fascinating and made some of our sons behaviours so much clearer. It will help to understand his emotional response to things.”

“Really great course. All parents should do it to get a greater understanding of what is happening to their kids during an emotional time as it certainly makes you think about how you deal with emotionally too.”

*Please note as well as the taught session I will also make 2 online modules available which will need to be viewed prior to the in-person session to compliment the learning on the day.

Busting Menopause Myths

Did you know there are over 30 signs of menopause? Did you also know that peri-menopause begins for most in our early forties and can last for anything up to 10 years!

You’ve probably heard jokes about hot flushes but may not know that brain fog, anxiety, headaches, joint pains, heart palpitations and itchy skin are also common signs of menopause.

Come join Ali Masterman, local Menopause Yoga certified teacher and Dr Sue Dickie, local GP who has a special interest in women's health and currently volunteers at the specialist menopause clinic at The Whittington Hospital.

Between us we want to bust some myths and help people get the best experience of this time of life. It doesn’t have to be doom and gloom it can be an exciting and invigorating time. Make your Second Spring your best time of life.

The workshop will be a small intimate group to enable us to share our stories comfortably within a safe space (only if you want to no-one will be forced to share), Q&A with both Sue and Ali then some gentle and relaxing yoga and meditative breathwork.

Our intention is to educate, embrace and empower you. You will leave with information sheets that will help with this transition. Plus a wonderful goodie bag curated from small like minded businesses.

The workshop is £55 per person, to book your space please follow this link
