Child friendly restaurants in the local area:

Hampstead

28 Church Row - No kid menu in sight, but very friendly staff. Went there with a 1 week old (baby zen yoyo is amazing and we took it down to the basement restaurant). My kid who is a very fussy eater eats a full meal there no problem.

Le Cage Imaginaire - Not a traditionally "kid friendly" restaurant - no kids menus etc so to speak. But we went there on a Saturday night at 5.30pm and received exceptional service and food whilst dining with my toddler. My 2 year old loved the pan fried duck and she was provided with a colouring book and pencils.

Wagamama - very spacious and lots of space for buggies. They have a fantastic kids menu that offers food beyond chicken nuggets, give proper vegetable stick sides and reasonably priced. They also have these really cute chopsticks for beginners. As well as that, they have a great allergy menu which my friend with a kid with lots of allergies has found really helpful. So yes, I'm quite a big fan (although was not a fan before I had kids)

Waterstones Cafe (Heath Street) - on top floor. Has changing station, room for buggies and can take lift up. Delicious cake too!

Freemasons Arm - Large pub with food, outside area, baby change facility & playground next door. Fairly empty during weekday daytime so you can normally fit lots of buggys in if required.

The Horseshoe. They provide high-chairs, a kids menu & colouring sheets. They ask only that if making a reservation, the customer lets us know if they require space for their buggy so they can make sure they are seated in the best area for it.

Carluccio's - Top food, very friendly with kids.

La Gaffe - Family run, very friendly with kids

Pizza Express - nice Italian chain restaurant with kids menu. They also do kids parties (most people seem to go to the one on Abbey Road, which has a private room)

Belsize Park

Chez Bob - similar to Giraffe, we go there for the milkshakes.

Franco Manca - they do a fine pizza and have highchairs. Personally I wasn't impressed by their front of house who wouldn't let me sit down (whilst heavily pregnant) at a table which was waiting to be cleared up.

Pizza Express - nice Italian chain restaurant with kids menu. They also do kids parties (most people seem to go to the one on Abbey Road, which has a private room)

Belsize Village

Oliver's Village Cafe - They run parties, have kids books and have very child friendly staff

Roni's - small cafe, great bagels.

Belsize Kitchen - Food is good, this is one of my go to spots. They have a separate baby changing room

Finchley Road

Sushi & More (9 Northways Parade) - run by an amazing Korean/Japanese couple, they are SO friendly and I love going there with my kids. I would particularly recommend their sweet potato noodles & beef bibimbap. My daughter gets cucumber maki & seaweed

Hampstead Theatre - spacious, baby change facility and much better than cafe in Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre.

Zizzi - in O2 centre. Lots of space for prams, not particularly busy and very baby friendly.

Wagamama - in O2 centre.

Fiddies - very welcoming Italian restaurant and recently was top London restaurant on Tripadvisor (circa Feb 2016). I LOVE their lasagne and deliverood a lot whilst pregnant

Camden Arts Centre - easy access, lots of space, outdoor space with shade, and nice lunches/tea.

JW3

Streets Coffee - they have a play area in the back and I believe they are a social enterprise set up by a church? (“Run by a combination of full time staff and volunteers from London Community Church, our aim is to build an inclusive community culture that is inviting and open.”)

South End Green

I don’t go to this area as much as I should, so have sourced recommendations from the Hampstead Mums group.

Karma Bread Bakehouse - BEST doughnuts, and bread in general

Hampstead Tea Rooms

Dominiques

Paradise Curry

Dar’s

“Matchbox sandwich place next to the buses nr m&s. Nothing fancy but fresh food with mr whippy ice cream ;) The man who runs it is so friendly, showing my children all his fridge magnets and also watched 1 child while we went to the toilets opposite. Couldn't ask for more when looking for lunch.” - recommendation from a HM

We have seen multiple bad reviews of a certain restaurant in South End Green, particularly pertaining to people who go with buggies. If you would like to see which please see for yourself here.
