School's out for Summer!!!

How to cope with such a long Summer? You can perhaps....

1) Send your child(ren) to a holiday camp. Some last for as little as 2 days, so it's not a big commitment but you do get a well deserved break.

2) Check out the local playgrounds. All too often I find myself stuck in a rut when it comes to the playground. There's one just 2 minutes away, then why bother going to one 10 minutes away, right?

3) Go further afield within London and explore our beautiful city. Try to avoid rush hour on the underground (advice goes year round, but it can be crazy hot in Summer); I actually find the buses are much less stressful with a little one as they can move around a bit more, with more to see. I would also recommend Ruislip Lido, I had an absolutely amazing time there with my daughter in June 2015.

4) For the Older Kids, Camden Council has a fantastic initiative called the Camden Summer University. They are free activities, and many of them offer accreditation.

5) Free swimming for kids for Camden Residents. Available at Camden run leisure centres (Talacre, Swiss Cottage etc)

6) This year (2016), JW3 has a Crazy Golf course instead of a beach! More info on JW3's Summer Bonanza here
