Home Made Play Dough

Our yucky smelling Peppa Pig play dough was starting to dry out (again), so I thought I would make my own. I found a recipe online which had great reviews, and very easy instructions. I have seen other ones where you need to cook it, or they add non-organic things in. This didn't work for me as I didn't want to chance her little friends eating it, and also because I didn't have the items to hand.

All you have to do is mix the salt and the flour - my 2y10m old daughter wanted to help so I let her. Then add water & oil. Knead for 10 minutes. When it's silky smooth, knead the food colouring in. I made it flat and folded it in on itself to speed up process and minimise mess on the table.

Not quite silky smooth, but my hands gave up. I just kneaded it more when I added food colouring in.
